A glowing desert sun in reds, oranges and golds captures the essence of this second, lesser known segment of the Serenity Prayer: "Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it." This print is Part 2 of a set of 3 contemporary drawings that contain the entire prayer.
The original drawing and text were done by hand using India ink pens; color was added using art markers (primarily prismacolor). All 3 drawings in this series contain desert images of cacti, desert flowers, mesas and clouds. Part 1 is a serene desert ("God, grant me the serenity..."), and Part 3 features the desert at night ("trusting that you will make all things right...").
Prints are professionally run on bright white, sustainably forested, 100 lb acid free paper by a small, locally owned printshop using environmentally sensitive inks. Each print is signed in pencil by the artist.
